Hand carved, hand printed, lino block. Printed onto Awagami, Kitakata paper with traditional Cranfield ink, Carbon Black using a hand operated etching press. The paper has deckled edges on all four sides. All prints are signed and dated by the artist. This print was inspired by the bedtime stories read with her Daughter, Daphne, who is obsessed with Wolves. She is pretty sad about the bad press they get in traditional fairy stories so I created this print for her to celebrate these beautiful creatures.

Paper size: approximately 37.5m x /23.5 cm, image size approx 30m x /16.5 cm. Some variation in colour and intensity may occur due to the nature of hand printing.

About the artist

Zoe Ansari is a Cambridge based artist creating hand printed limited edition prints from hand carved linoleum blocks.

Zoe’s work is inspired by her native countryside, the wild flowers and fauna. Whilst she is out walking the dog, she daydreams a lot. Zoe likes to mix those influences with some folklore, mythology, literature and music. Her work comes from her unique interpretation of what I see and imagine.
