Zoe Singleton

After graduating from Goldsmiths College London, Zoe pursued a career in textiles and also ran an events business. Her long-standing passion for geology led her to carving stone. Learning to carve stone felt like a natural way to express herself and the perfect link between art and geology. Inspiration comes from natures patterns and botanical forms and sometimes from rock itself. She loves fossils and rock strata and also finds inspiration in the beauty of the Devon’s coastline and moorland where she lives.

Her work is frequently described as "poetic and lyrical". All her letter carving is hand drawn as a response to the words and maintains the quality of the hand drawing within, so that each resulting piece is unique.
