Artist Statement:

After a decade working as a stone conservator, Jackie moved into the lettering field after taking a number of short Lettering Arts Trust courses. She then completed a two-year (Historic Environment Scotland funded) Craft Fellowship in letter carving and went on to be the 8th Lettering Arts Trust Apprentice, studying with Eric Marland in Cambridge. Her work continues to be inspired by Eric’s elegant letter forms and attention to detail. Jackie now works from her own studio just outside Edinburgh.
