Dual Text Alphabet 2
The central alphabet is the alphabet I used on an iconic slate called ‘New Blue Moon’. It is based on sketching the rock face, near our quarry in Dorset, with its loose rubbly bits and definite linear construction. The letters are carved in at different angles to mimic the in and out of the cliff face. The text around the alphabet is by Nicolete Grey and is carved in my Wolpe influenced sans serif. The words explain why you can still read the alphabet even though it is pretty abstract.
Burlington Grey flame textured slate 48 x 63 cm.
