The Whales Do Not Sing - Gregory Colbert a mounted print by Elizabeth Fraser
The Whales Do Not Sing - Gregory Colbert a mounted print by Elizabeth Fraser
The texts of these charming prints were chosen for their gently uplifting nature. A perfect gift for sending some positive energy, they come ready mounted to fit a 23 x 23cm frame.
The prints feature a pair of quirky whales created from ornamental type details and upside down print block bodies. The prints come with a light cream mount which complements the sumptuous Somerset velvet paper. The text is set and printed by hand in metal type Dorchester and Marina script.
The Whales do not sing
because they have an answer
They sing because
they have a voice
This quote by GREGORY COLBERT features a whale with a wonderfully swishy tail piece and an ornamenta
bracket creates the baleen on his mouth. The whale on this print swims to the right.
The print with the whale swimming to the left makes excellent use of more beautiful ornamental type pieces for the tail and water spout along with a decorative bracket for the mouth. This little whale carries a quote by HERMAN MELVILLE
Dream tonight of Peacock tails
Diamond fields and Spouter Whales
Ills are many, blessings few
but dreams tonight will shelter you
