Presented as part of our exhibition ‘A Way with Words’, join us to hear artist Mary Noble sharing her knowledge of historical letter forms, revealing how they inform contemporary letter design. Mary will explore the design of some of the exhibition pieces on display, comparing the letterforms used and in a live demonstration, show how the calligraphers have adapted the forms to suit their needs.
Mary Noble trained in graphic design but later took up calligraphy and is a Fellow of the Society of Scribes & Illuminators and the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society. Mary has co-authored several calligraphy books with Janet Mehigan.
Free to Friends of The Lettering Arts Trust £10 to other guests.
